Infrared asphalt repair is a cost effective type of asphalt repair that can be used to repair potholes, large cracks, seams and catch basins. This technology uses infrared heaters to heat the damaged asphalt so that it is pliable. Virgin asphalt is added along with asphalt rejuvenate and the problem area is reworked making it good as new. One of the main advantages of infrared repair over saw-cut and replace repairs is that there is no cold joint because the old and new asphalt are fused together.
