Chip Seal / Tar & Chip

Chip seal is a uniform application of asphalt emulsion applied to a prepared surface, followed by a layer of aggregate. It is then compacted, providing an economical all-weather surface for light to medium traffic. Chip seal has been used all around the world for many years and has proven to be a low cost type of paving when used for the proper application. This process can be repeated in layers with different sized aggregate, and can also be sealed with Liquid Road Sealer to create Dura Seal.
